Better Man Series Veteran Gopher Hunt (May 2026 in Montana - REGISTRATION OPEN)

We’ve been invited to host a Gopher Hunt on Wahl Family Farm this upcoming May. Our theme for this Veterans Adventure Therapy Retreat is “Becoming a Better Man.”

What to Expect:

  • May 28 - 31: Bring your sleeping bag and pad for this weekend Veterans Adventure Therapy Retreat. We will provide tipi tents and food.

  • Held in Cut Bank, Montana: Attendees are responsible for their travel to and from location.

  • Small Group: A total of 6 male veterans will be chosen randomly out of applicants.

  • Activities: Camping, long distance gopher hunting, and therapeutic group sessions.

  • Theme: Becoming a better man through the lens of key Christian values and psychological tools.

 
 

Spring Bear Adventure Therapy Hunt (June 2026 in Montana - REGISTRATION OPEN)

We are exploring how to support a small group of veterans to do a spring bear adventure therapy hunt in Northwest Montana on June 8-12, 2026. Currently, the nonprofit gathering funding to cover 30%-50% of the out-of-pocket costs for a select group of attendees. Total cost, without support from the nonprofit, is $4,400. Since we are still acquiring funding for this, please register if you are interested so we can share more information with you and keep in contact to prepare you for the opportunity.

 
 

Blast and Cast for Wellness for Veterans (January 2027 in Texas - REGISTRATION OPEN)

We were blessed to have La Pesca Lodge AND Baffin Bay Rod and Gun Lodge donate their facilities for this special four-day adventure therapy trip: Blast and Cast for Wellness. On January 2027 in Riviera, Texas, we are taking a group of veterans and first responders duck hunting, fishing, and practice raising their Emotional Intelligence.

In these retreats, attendees are required to pay for their own travel, and must acquire current hunting and fishing licenses. Lodging and food is provided. This is a sober retreat. Once you submit you application, it will be entered into pool that we use a random number generator to draw from. The first round of attendees will be chosen in early October. We will do drawings weekly until all available slots have been confirmed!

 
 

Wellness In The Wild for Veterans (November 2026 in Montana - REGISTRATION OPEN)

During the fall hunting season, our team takes a group of Veterans to a special location in Eastern Montana and Northwest Montana. Women’s and men’s retreats are held separately. Dates have not been chosen yet however you are still welcome to apply for the 2026 season. Accommodations and food will be provided. Attendees are required to obtain their own license and manage travel expenses to location of hunt.
